Deliverability is a key component of any successful email marketing campaign. Treselle Systems is committed to ensuring the delivery of our client's emails using Vanilla\Connect system as well as maintaining our excellent reputation among Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

Our goal is to help you maximize deliverability of your email campaigns to your recipient's inbox. However, Treselle Systems strongly believes that deliverability is not as easy as transmitting an email message from our servers to the recipient's server and hope it will reach your recipient's inbox. It involves an understanding of industry best practices, adhering to legal/compliance requirements, strong partnerships with ISPs, industry-leading technology, investment in infrastructure, and human Resources to undertake an active management of the entire deliverability process.

So, in addition to investments in infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and automation, we have put together a comprehensive set of processes, tasks, tools, and Resources to ensure each one of our clients receives the necessary support to maximize his/her email deliverability.

Robust Email Delivery:
- Treselle Systems' Vanilla\Connect platform includes best-of-breed email delivery infrastructure from Port25 Solutions.

Delivery Monitoring:
- Treselle Systems' delivery monitoring and anti-abuse team will continuously monitor client's campaigns using PowerMTA's (from Port25 Solutions) delivery policy management capabilities to ensure that we meet ISP's standards and not just engage in a batch and blast mode.
- Benefits: This protects our client's as well as Treselle System's email sending reputation.

ISP Feedback Loops:
- Some of your subscribers might accidentally report your email communications as "spam" or "junk" email even though they might have opted-in to receive them from you. If a number of your subscribers take this action on one of your specific campaigns, then the ISP might deliver the emails to the recipient's junk folder or might stop delivering them altogether. However, ISPs can alert the senders (which would be Treselle Systems' Vanilla\Connect platform) of these complaints using Feedback Loops.
- Treselle Systems has enrolled into feedback loops with all major ISPs that offer them.
- There are currently four types of authentication mechanisms - DKIM (Domain Keys Identified Email), SPF (Sender Policy Framework), DomainKeys, and SenderID.
- Most email service providers support only 1 or 2 of these authentication forms. Vanilla\Connect supports all the four.
- We constantly monitor and act quickly upon any complaints we receive from the ISPs.
- Benefits: If your subscriber reports an email that we deliver on your behalf as "SPAM", then we automatically opt-out that subscriber so that you will not send anymore communications to him/her.

Automated Bounce Management:
- Vanilla\Connect's intelligent bounce processing system can process all soft and hard bounces automatically, appropriately and in compliance with CAN-SPAM as well as industry best practices.
- All subscriber accounts which experience 2 soft bounces will be kept active but will be automatically unsubscribed from your future campaigns after the 3rd soft bounce.
- All hard bounces will be automatically unsuppressed from all your future campaigns.
- We can track a lot of information about why your campaigns to these users bounced along with the bounce message and bounce reason. Our system can graph bounces based on bounce categories and domains.
- Benefits: This will help you to keep your subscriber lists clean, stay CAN-SPAM compliant, and really understand the reasons for all those bounces.

Unsubscribe & Opt-out Management:
- Vanilla\Connect platform has built-in intelligence to quickly process all unsubscribe and opt-out requests you receive from your subscribers.
- If you happen to have this user subscribed in your other lists, you can decide whether to globally suppress the user from all your lists and from your future communications.
- Benefits: These actions will not only help you to maintain a clean list but also improve your reputation as well as your deliverability rate.

Sender Authentication Support*:
- When clients use Vanilla\Connect system, they are authorizing us to send email campaigns on their behalf. Authentication is way of informing the receiving mail servers, and ISPs that you have authorized us to send emails.
- DKIM and SPF will require some additions to your DNS record to establish your "From Email Authentication." Treselle Systems' team can help you with this process. The reason this is required is that ISPs, without this addition, will see a mismatch between the emails coming from our servers and who the email says it represents (yourdomain.com) and will flag them as spam. By including our keys, you are telling the ISP that the email owners are yourdomain.com and you have authorized Vanilla\Connect to deliver these on your behalf. This is the whole purpose of these keys and their inclusion in DNS records - an industry standard process.
- Benefits: You have freedom to send your campaigns the way you want without impacting your deliverability.

SPAM Scoring Tools:
- Email deliverability to your recipient's inbox could be affected by certain words or phrases in your campaigns that alert SPAM tools either with the ISP or with the recipient's email servers. Vanilla \Connect's SPAM scoring clients can analyze all your outbound email communications and assess their risk of being flagged as SPAM.
- Benefits: Our scoring tools will aid you to make necessary changes, retest them before you send the campaign, and increase your deliverability rates.

CAN-SPAM Compliance:
- Treselle Systems is a strong proponent of permission-based email marketing practices. In addition, it is required by law that each of our clients be CAN-SPAM compliant. We suggest a 3-step process to address this.
- First, Vanilla\Connect's built-in capabilities such as automatic bounce management, automatic handling of opt-outs, unsubscribes, an easy way to place opt-out footer with every email communication you send will aid our clients to be CAN-SPAM compliant.
- Second, we encourage clients to follow best practices starting from acquiring subscribers using single opt-in or double opt-in methods, developing appropriate creative, sending campaigns at spaced intervals, monitoring subscriber responses, and optimizing the next campaign.
- Third, we understand that sometimes all this work could be overwhelming and so we would be happy to assist our clients both at a strategic as well as tactical levels through a portfolio of services we offer.

IP Address & Domain Blacklist Monitoring:
- Treselle Systems' has put together tools to consistently check all the IP addresses of our outbound mail servers against major Internet black lists. If we find any of these IP addresses to be blacklisted, our deliverability team will quickly unearth the reason, work with ISPs to resolve the situation.
- Benefits: Our focus in assisting you to be blacklist-free and your desire to follow best practices will help you in sending your campaigns and communications uninterrupted.
